A Strong Partnership for Sustainability: Bossard and Komax
Sustainability and ESG
Our Commitment to a Sustainable Future
Together we bring Proven Productivity and Sustainability to every assembly operation in the world. Learn more about our sustainability approach and how we drive into a sustainable future aligned with our business goals.

How Komax Enhances Sustainability by Leveraging Supplier Consolidation
A few years ago, our customer Komax decided to modernize their C-parts management to streamline procedures and to better serve the technicians on the assembly lines. At that time, the company had 40 different suppliers for 2,000 C-parts. Managing the various parts was a full-time job for one Komax employee; additional resources from other departments were needed for procurement, invoicing and inventory management. After assigning their C-parts supply and management to Bossard, they experienced increased efficiency, productivity and -24% CO2 emissions per year.
Key Sustainability Metrics

Focus Areas as Strategic Foundations for Sustainability
Our four focus areas provide the overarching strategic framework for both strategic sustainability efforts and our sustainability report. These four focus areas cover the economic, environmental, social and governance dimensions of responsible corporate leadership at Bossard.
Learn more about our focus areas:
Future Proven Solutions
The Future Proven Solutions focus area covers the economic topics of “Sustainable and profitable growth”, “Customer loyalty” and “Innovative product and service solutions”. Bossard's solutions not only lead to greater efficiency and productivity, but also enable the careful use of resources. With quality and efficiency in mind, we are striving to further expand the services and product solutions we offer in terms of sustainability.
Reduced Footprint
The Reduced Footprint focus area includes all environmental issues that we can influence and that have an impact on our business activities. Specifically, these are the key topics of “energy and greenhouse gases” and “waste”. We strive to systematically identify and minimize the environmental impacts associated with our business activities and the upstream and downstream processes in the value chain. We use natural resources sparingly and record key figures to identify strengths and weaknesses in terms of environmental performance.
Empowered People
Empowered People means that our employees are the driving force behind our business success. That is why a working environment which supports the physical and mental well-being of employees is key. The implementation of a Group-wide strategy on diversity and equal opportunities, the fight against discrimination and the promotion of training and further education enable employees to develop and help the company to attract new talent and keep staff turnover low. The Empowered People focus area is made up of the key topics of “well-being and safety”, “attractive employer” and “diversity, equity and inclusion”, with the latter focusing on employee development.
Fair Partnership
Fair Partnership comprises the key topics of “integrity”, “responsible supply chain management” and “social commitment”. The commitment in the Fair Partnership focus area goes hand in hand with transparent, fair corporate governance and helps us maintain our reputation with our stakeholders and ensure responsible collaboration with suppliers.
Our Sustainable Business Model
Productivity and sustainability belong together. Everything we do to serve our customers will not come at the expense of the environment, social constellations or partnerships. We believe that only sustainable success is success!

Innovative, efficient, and holistic solutions – that is Bossard’s approach. Our products and services simplify and optimize processes across all fastening solutions. Sustainability is an integral ambition of our business model.
We help our customers exploit potentials. Avoiding future costs and optimizing individual products begins in the design phase and continues through the structuring of supply chains and on to the production processes. Time and time again, we find that this approach enables our customers to measurably increase their productivity. That is why we talk about “Proven Productivity”. This approach also helps reduce the environmental impact, because streamlining means using materials, energy, and production capacities carefully and in a targeted manner. Experience shows that the efficient use of resources, optimized product designs, and simplified logistics processes lead to less waste and lower emissions.
