Securing and Anti-Loosening
ecosyn® SEF Combi Hexagon Nuts
The Bossard ecosyn® SEF is a self-locking SEMS nut with an integrated spring washer and a flat washer for secure electromechanical or mechanical fastenings.
Our ecosyn® SEF is a SEMS nut that combines a self-locking nut with an integrated conical spring washer and large contact surface. It is designed to create safe contact screw connections, especially in the high-voltage range.
Prevent Loosening of the Connection
In the event of vibrations or external loads on the clamping point, the ecosyn® SEF’s special thread has reliably proven itself against loosening of the contact screw connection. The integrated conical spring washer prevents loss of the preload force. In addition, the larger contact surface of the flat washer lowers the surface pressure and can be effective at bridging the power transmission in long holes. At the same time, the washer reduces surface indentations caused by repeated assembly, which ensures perfect transmission of electrical current.
Although this self-locking nut has been designed for the safe connection of electrically conductive contacts, it is also excellently suited for purely mechanical connections.
ecosyn® SEF Applications and Features

ecosyn® SEF nuts are particularly suitable for electrical contacts, slotted screw connections, and connections subject to vibration. Some examples include:
